The Gear Timer reimagines traditional time-setting with a more intuitive and engaging interaction. Instead of manually pressing buttons to adjust the timer, this design incorporates a rotatable gear that allows users to quickly set the desired time with a simple twist. Pressing the gear starts or stops the countdown, making the experience seamless and tactile. This design enhances efficiency and usability, offering a more dynamic and satisfying way to interact with time.
Research

Traditional timers often require excessive button pressing to set long countdowns, making them inconvenient to use. Inspired by kitchen timers that allow quick adjustments through rotation, I integrated a rotatable gear into a standard electronic timer. This design enables users to easily scroll through numbers and set time effortlessly, combining the precision of digital timers with the intuitive ease of analog dials.
